Four Stake Women's Conference Report Part 1

We were honored by our visit from Sister Rosemary Wixom, General Primary President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints over the weekend.

Notes from her training and her talk will be available here in the following days, together with links to some of the videos that were shown as well as ideas about how to be Women of Light.  But for now, here are a few thoughts Sister Wixom shared at the Crescent Valley, Gig Harbor Stake, Sacrament meeting yesterday (January 25, 2015) as she contemplated her time with us on the Peninsula:

1.  We on the Peninsula don't need sunshine to see the light.

2.  She came to bring the light of faith and courage to us, but as she looked at our faces on Saturday, she saw it there already and it was beautiful.

3.  The Latter-days are not for sissies, and we are not sissies.

4.  What is needed in our day is bright courage and strong faith.

5.  She shared her favorite scripture:  2 Nephi 22:2:

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation."

We have been so blessed by her visit and look forward to hearing her speak next at the Sunday Morning Session of General Conference, right after President Monson.
